Overview:
The process for addressing competency gaps is governed by the following requirements:
- Assessment Timeline: Level 2 in-field competence assessments must be conducted on the equipment listed in Table B.1 within 12 months of the issuance of the canddate’s Level 1 certificate.
- Failure to Demonstrate Competence: If a candidate does not successfully demonstrate competence within this 12-month period, they are required to repeat the Level 1, Stage 2 assessments.
- Scope of Reassessment: Reassessment will be limited only to the equipment on which the candidate failed to demonstrate competence at level 2. There is no need to retake assessments for equipment where competence has already been proven. On successful completion of the Level 1 stage 2 re-assessment, the candidate will be eligible to be reassessed at level 2 for each “type”. The Level 2 reassessment will take place at the CRALOG ACADEMY.

5 days.
Target group:
Technicians who hold a Level 2 certificate for some “types” but have not been able to demonstrate competence for all “types” within ISO 23678:2022 Part 1 table B1 during the 12-month period of the Level 2 Infield Assessment.
Candidate prerequisites for Level 2:
Service Technician in-field assessment. Hold a current Initial, level 1 and have been deemed competent at Level 2 for some types within ISO 23678:2022 Part 1 table B.
Aims:
This experience and reassessment give candidates the opportunity to fill competency gaps by carrying out annual and five-yearly interventions on complete systems under supervision.
Objectives: The objectives are to ensure candidates:
- Demonstrate competency at Level 2 on equipment that they were previously not able to during the 12-month period of the Level 2 infield competence assessment.
Certificate:
Level 2 valid for 3 years. from the date of issue.
