Become a CRALOG ASP

One network. One standard.
How to become — and stay — compliant.

What is an Authorised Service Provider?

An Authorised Service Provider (ASP) is an entity authorised by a Flag Administration, or by one of its Recognised Organisations (ROs), to carry out inspection, maintenance, thorough examination, operational testing, overhaul and repair of lifesaving and lifting appliances in accordance with international maritime legislation.

ASP approvals are based on compliance with:

Port State Control (PSC), Flag State Administrations and Classification Societies acting as Recognised Organisations (ROs) rely on ASP certification as documented evidence that equipment on board is fit for purpose and serviced by competent personnel with full traceability.

From trained to authorised

In this industry, training does not give you permission to work. To operate as a service provider that flag states and class societies recognise, you need:

Everything you need, in one system

CRALOG combines everything required to perform, document and maintain compliant inspection services under IMO regulations.

1

Competence

Training & Certification

We train and certify technicians to ISO 23678 and IMO requirements. Certificates are linked to real inspection data and ongoing activity.

Execution

Software & Documentation

Inspections are performed and recorded in the CRALOG software, which:

  • Issues Statements of Fitness
  • Tracks technician competence
  • Stores documentation with QR verification
  • Produces audit-ready reports

Class societies that authorise CRALOG ASPs require reports issued through the platform.

3

Authorisation

Quality Assessment

We support service providers through authorisations from:

  • Flag State Administrations (Liberia, Panama etc.)
  • Classification Societies (ABS, BV, DNV, KR, RINA, LR, INSB etc.)
  • ISO 23678 approval

Most ASPs cannot independently demonstrate full ISO 23678 compliance without third-party certified systems, training and audit support.

CRALOG helps bridge this gap through structured Quality Assessment systems, competence management and internationally recognised training.

Operation

Global Network

CRALOG ASPs operate under a shared system: common standards, common documentation, global acceptance. Take jobs immediately, issue Statements of Fitness, and operate internationally.

Every ASP is listed in the cralog.com service-provider directory and receives requests for quotes from vessel managers worldwide.

The commercial side

Two recurring commitments come with being a CRALOG ASP — the software subscription and the QA package — plus the in-field Level 2 competence assessment that’s bundled with the subscription. Everything surfaces here so there are no surprises after engagement.

Software & data — go.cralog.com

USD 5,000 / year per ASP

go.cralog.com is CRALOG's compliance and record-keeping platform — built to satisfy MSC.402(96), MSC.532(107), ISO 23678 and the ISO 9001 quality-assurance framework. Every Statement of Fitness, inspection checklist and personnel certificate lives in one version-controlled ledger, with QR-code lookups for Port State Control, flag administrations and class societies. Once the platform is implemented at the ASP, CRALOG's Quality team audits the station and closes any ISO 9001 gaps from subcontracting technician training to the Academy.

What's included

  • Statement of Fitness ledger with QR-code verification
  • ISO 23678 training logs and competency assessments
  • Country files for every flag-state administration
  • Vessel core-data records with survey windows
  • Native iOS and Android apps
  • Listed on cralog.com/find-an-asp
  • Real-time validation at verify.cralog.com

Quality Assurance package

USD 2,000 · fast-track

A fast-track to extending or maintaining your ASP authorisations. CRALOG's Quality team works with you over online meetings to update your QA system with CRALOG-specific processes, align your scope with the make/type/model annexes on your technicians' competence certificates, and prepare you for class and flag-administration audits. ASPs in the CRALOG network also benefit from the CRALOG / ABS formal agreement — pass the audit once, record inspections in the licensed software, and ABS approval lands on your desk.

Watch: updating your ABS Service Supplier approval through CRALOG.
